Steele

I’m excited to share a bit about my last name, “Steele,” and how it connects with my Native American roots as a member of the Lytton Rancheria. Even though “Steele” might seem pretty modern, it actually carries a lot of meaning for me. It represents the strength and resilience of our people, reminding me of how we’ve managed to stay strong and adaptable through the years. Embracing this name is a way for me to honor my tribe’s traditions while also fitting into the larger world around us. It’s a nod to our ancestors and a symbol of our community’s spirit.

I also wanted to share some photos from my college campus. These shots are a glimpse into my personal style, which leans toward loose-fitting, dark-colored clothes. I’m a huge fan of Balenciaga because their bold and unique designs really resonate with my taste. I don’t usually love being in front of the camera—I'm a bit self-conscious—but I wanted to show you a little piece of my style and identity through these photos.
